
Football Drops Game at SMU

UNT trailed 17-14 at halftime before SMU reeled off 28 unanswered points and outscored the Mean Green 28-7 in the second half. The Mean Green put up just 372 yards of offense, which was their second lowest output of the season only to the 225 they put up against Cal in the season opener. SMU totaled 552 yards of offense.
Junior quarterback Chandler Rogers went 18-for-31 for 240 yards, two touchdowns and an interception and had his eighth game of the season with at least two touchdown passes. Junior running back Oscar Adaway III led the ground effort with another strong performance against the Mustangs, as he totaled 90 yards and a touchdown on just 11 carries.
The Mean Green (3-7, 1-5 AAC) will look to rebound next Saturday when they travel to Tulsa, with kickoff set for 2 p.m.

- His 72 yards is a new UNT-career high and just 28 yards shy of his career high of 100 yards, while at Texas Tech.
- Junior WR Blair Conwright (Lubbock, Texas) finished with a team-high four catches for 61 yards and a touchdown.
- His 29-yard touchdown reception with 1:27 to play was the fifth of his career and his second at UNT.
- Freshman WR Landon Sides (Denton, Texas) finished with two catches for 39 yards.
- Junior DB Logan Wilson (Dallas) finished with four tackles, including three solo stops.
- Junior LB Jordan Brown (Huntsville, Texas) finished with three tackles, including two solo stops, two sacks and a QB hurry.
- Brown had two sacks on the night to give him three on the season and five in his career.
- Junior DB Ridge Texada (Frisco, Texas) finished with five tackles - all solo stops – a tackle for-loss and a pass breakup.
- His pass breakup in the third quarter gave him 26 passes defended in his career to move him into sixth place on the program's all-time list.
- Freshman DB Jayven Anderson (Houston) finished with a team-high nine tackles - all solo stops.
- Anderson was the second true freshman to lead the Mean Green in tackles in as many weeks, after Evan Jackson did it last week against UTSA.
- Redshirt freshman DB Patrick Smith (Sugar Land, Texas) finished with eight tackles, including six solo stops.
- Junior DL Roderick Brown (Forney, Texas) finished with five tackles – all solo stops.
- Senior LB Carson Kropp (Owasso, Okla.) finished with five tackles, including three solo stops.
- Junior DB Phil Hill (Spring, Texas) finished with three tackles, including two solo stops, a pass breakup and an interception.
- His first-quarter interception was his third of the season and was the first forced turnover for UNT since Oct. 21 at Tulane.
- Senior DL Mazin Richards (Burleson, Texas) finished with four tackles, including two solo stops.
- Redshirt freshman LB Ethan Wesloski (McKinney, Texas) finished with five tackles - all solo stops.
- Senior kicker Noah Rauschenberg (Tulsa, Oklahoma) went 3-for-3 on extra points and was 0-for-1 on field goals.
- Rauschenberg is now 37-for-37 on extra point attempts this season and is 13-for-16 on field goal attempts. He needs one more made field goal to crack the single-season top-10 in UNT history.
