
Volleyball Defeated in Conference Clash

DALLAS – UNT volleyball dropped a 3-0 loss to SMU on Saturday at Moody Coliseum in its final road league match of the season.
The Mean Green (17-14, 11-7) posted 11.0 blocks to match the highest block output of the season in a three-set contest (18-25, 13-25, 25-27). The Mustangs (23-6, 17-1) clinched the American Athletic Conference championship with the victory.
Sh'Diamond Holly led the block party with eight total stops, including seven block assists. Aryn Johnson, Truli Levy and Anyse Smith each posted three blocks.
Levy (108) and Holly (102) each rank inside the top-10 in program history for their respective single-season block assist figures. Levy also moved into seventh with 128 total blocks for the year.
Johnson added a team-high nine kills and has led the Mean Green attack in four consecutive matches.
Anyse Smith accumulated a .467 hitting percentage with eight kills on 15 attacks, a new season-best mark with more than 12 attacks.
