
Volleyball Drops Heartbreaking Loss

DENTON, Texas – UNT volleyball dropped its final regular season match 3-0 to Memphis on Wednesday at the North Texas Volleyball Center.
North Texas (17-15, 11-8) posted more kills, assists, digs and blocks in the three-set contest (23-25, 23-25, 20-25) but fell to the Tigers (11-20, 7-12). The Mean Green posted 10.0 blocks and recorded double-digit stops in 12 of its last 13 matches to wrap up the American Athletic Conference slate.
Senior Jayde Harris led the offense with 11 kills in the match and 154 on the season. North Texas set a new program record with seven players with over 150 kills for the year.
Senior Sh'Diamond Holly recorded a .417 hitting percentage with seven kills on 12 attacks. She also led with six blocks, including two solo stops. She currently holds the lead in The American with a .415 attack rate for the season, a mark that would rank fifth in single season league history.
Senior Treyaunna Rush finished with six kills and two blocks while Trinity Watts posted her 700th collegiate career kill with a pair of finishes in the third set.
Senior Aleeyah Galdeira accumulated 12 digs, six assists and one ace in her 138th match and extended her program record for most career matches played.
Kamryn Scroggins distributed 17 assists and nine digs while Ceci Harness tallied 11 assists and eight digs.
The Mean Green recorded 11 wins in conference play to match the fourth-highest total in league matches in program history and most since 2018.
