
Volleyball Hosts Memphis on Senior Day

North Texas will honor seven seniors in a post-match ceremony
DENTON, Texas – UNT volleyball hosts Memphis on Wednesday at noon to wrap up its American Athletic Conference schedule. The match will be broadcast from the North Texas Volleyball Center on ESPN+.
The Mean Green (17-14, 11-7) dropped its final two road league matches at RV SMU on Friday and Saturday. Aryn Johnson led North Texas with 20 kills while Sh'Diamond Holly posted eight blocks. Holly increased her season-long hitting percentage to .415 and is currently fifth in league history.
Over the past month, UNT leads its opponents in kills, attack percentage, assists, digs and blocks while accumulating six conference wins.
Memphis (10-20, 6-12) snapped a seven-match losing streak with a pair of home wins over Temple this weekend.
UNT have not faced Memphis since Aug. 27, 2005, which resulted in a 3-1 loss. All-time, North Texas is 0-3 versus the Tigers with the first meeting at the Memphis Invitational on Nov. 11, 1989.
