WICHITA, Kan. – UNT travels to Wichita State on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. for a pair of American Athletic Conference matches. Both contests will be broadcast on ESPN+ from Charles Koch Arena.
North Texas (14-11, 8-4) collected a pair of home conference wins over Temple and Charlotte on Friday and Sunday, respectively. The Mean Green own a three-match winning streak with higher marks for kills, attack percentage and blocks in each contest.
Aleeyah Galdeira was named to The American Honor Roll on Monday after she led UNT with 37 digs for her second placement on the weekly list. She added 12 assists and two aces. In conference play, Galdeira ranks 3rd in the AAC at 4.39 digs per set.
Wichita State (16-6, 10-2) split a pair of road matches after it dropped a five-set match at Florida Atlantic on Friday and won 3-2 at Memphis on Sunday. The Mean Green trail the Shockers 4-10 in the all-time series.
The programs last met for a pair of matches in Wichita during the COVID-19 altered 2020-21 season. Current UNT squad members Aleeyah Galdeira and Truli Levy appeared for the Mean Green.
