Rauschenberg Named AAC Special Teams Player of the Week

Senior transfer hit game-winning kick as time expired to take down UAB
DENTON, Texas – Playing in his final game of college football Saturday against UAB, Noah Rauschenberg ended his career with a bang as he hit a game-winning 32-yard field goal as time expired to lift UNT to a 45-42 win over UAB to earn American Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
Rauschenberg accounted for 13 points in the game as he hit three second-half field goals and was perfect, as he has been all season, on extra points to help UNT seal the win.
After winning the award after hitting the game-winning FG to beat LA Tech on Sept. 18, Rauschenberg became the first UNT player to earn multiple AAC weekly honors. He finished the regular season ranked third in The American in field goal percentage (84.2%) and fifth in scoring (7.8 ppg).
The Baylor transfer also finished the season tied for fifth in single-season history with 16 made FGs on the year while also sitting fourth in program history with 46 made extra points on the year.
