
Women’s Basketball Hosts Charlotte Thursday for Senior Night

Mean Green competing at home for the final time this season
DENTON, Texas (Feb. 22, 2023) - After a heartbreaking overtime loss Monday against UTSA, UNT returns to action Thursday night for Senior Night and the final home contest of the season as they welcome Charlotte to the Super Pit.
It will be the 16th all-time meeting between the two programs in a series that dates back to the 2013-14 season when the 49ers joined C-USA. Charlotte has won each of the last five matchups, including a 69-61 win over the Mean Green in Charlotte earlier this season.
Charlotte heads into the contest at 11-14 overall and 7-9 in C-USA play, just 0.5 game ahead of UNT in the standings. The 49ers have dropped back-to-back games after knocking off UNT on Feb. 11th.

- Senior Quincy Noble leads UNT offensively with 17.2 points per game this season, a figure that is third Conference USA. Noble has scored in double figures 23 times this season for North Texas and ranks eighth in program history with 1,254 points in her career at UNT.
- Noble also leads C-USA in field goal attempts while sitting in the top six in minutes (4th), FG percentage (6th) and points (3rd).
- Ereauna Hardaway ranks eighth in C-USA with a 1.4 assist-to-turnover ratio on the year. The freshman leads the Mean Green with 3.1 APG.
- Junior Tommisha Lampkin had a career performance Saturday against UTEP when she had 29 points and 18 rebounds for her fifth career double-double. Lampkin is now averaging 8.6 points and a team-high 6.9 boards per game.
- After starting the 2023 calendar year with a 27-point, 10-rebound game against WKU, Aniyah Johnson has been a force for the Mean Green. Johnson has scored in double figures seven times in her collegiate career. All seven have come since the calendar turned in January.
- In seven opportunities this season, UNT holds a 4-3 record against opponents in the second matchup with wins over FIU, FAU, Rice and UTEP.
- Through 27 games this season the Mean Green are 5-15 when losing or tying the team rebounding battle and are 5-2 when outrebounding their opponents.
- UNT has performed extremely well against the top teams in CUSA this season. Against the teams currently ranked 1-4 in the standings, the Mean Green hold a 4-2 record.
- Down the stretch this season, the Mean Green hold a 10-3 record when leading or tied with five minutes remaining in regulation. Conversely, UNT is 0-14 when trailing in the same scenario.
- Prior to the contest, UNT will honor four members of the 2023 senior class.
