Pal Named to C-USA All-Academic First Team

DALLAS - UNT junior Shreya Pal was a first-team selection to the Conference USA All-Academic team, the league announced on Monday.
First-team members must have at least a 3.9 GPA and have participated in at least 75% of the team's competition, and Pal has maintained a 4.0 GPA in Finance. She is a repeat first-teamer and also earned WGCA All-America Scholar honors last year.
"I am very glad to see Shreya named to the C-USA Academic team," head coach Michael Akers said. "She has earned all As during her time at UNT, and I am very impressed with her dedication to her studies. Being a successful student-athlete requires great time management. Shreya shows great skill in being organized and maintaining high grades while managing the time involved with our practice and travel schedule."
At the time nominations were due, Pal had competed in all of her team's events and posted a scoring average of 73.57 and has a season-best round of 69, posted at the UCF Challenge, and a season-best finish of T20 at the ICON Invitational, when UNT shattered its program record for low 54-hole score and beat 10 top-50 teams.
