Track & Field Treks to Lubbock for Final C-USA Tune-Up

Both the Mean Green men’s and women’s teams are ranked No. 4 in C-USA
DENTON, Texas – UNT Track & Field travels to Lubbock for the Corky/Crofoot Shootout Friday through Saturday at the Terry Linda and Fuller Track Complex, the last meet before the Conference USA Outdoor Championships in Denton.

Coming into the meet, KeAyla Dove is ranked No. 5 in the West and No. 9 in the nation in the women's shot put, while Jaleisa Shaffer is 27th in the West. Madison Sloan is 41st in the West in the hammer throw.

On the men's side, Karlington Anunagba is 14th in the West (35th nationally) in the 100 meters, and Kevin Grubbs (discus) is 17th in the West and 32nd in the nation. Brock Hottel is 25th in the West in the pole vault, Jordan Coates-McBride is 36th in the West in the 400-meter hurdles, Vitus Hansgaard and Zion Hill are 26th and 27th, respectively, in the West javelin rankings, and Wardell Glaspie is 31st in the West in the discus.

With one meet remaining until the Conference USA Outdoor Championships in Denton, both the UNT men's and women's teams are ranked No. 4 in the conference by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Live results from Lubbock will be provided by PrimeTime Timing. Field events will kick off Friday with the men's and women's discus throw at 12:30 p.m. CT. Saturday's field events will start at 3 p.m. CT with the men's and women's javelin, while running events will begin at 2 p.m. CT with the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase.
