First Batch of Football Kick Times Announced

Mean Green to open season on ESPNU
DENTON, Texas – UNT Football and first-year head coach Eric Morris will open the 2023 season on Sept. 2 in a nationally-televised home game with California on ESPNU at 3 pm central time, the network announced Wednesday.

Additionally, The Mean Green will meet DFW rival SMU in an American Athletic Conference showdown at 8 pm CT on Friday, Nov. 10 in a game that will be broadcast on ESPN2. The matchup is one of twelve intraconference games from The American have already been designated for national television.

UNT's trip to Navy on October 7 will kick at 2:30 pm CT and air on CBS Sports Network. It will be just the second ever meeting between the two programs following a 74-62 victory by the Midshipmen in 2007.

Kick times for a pair of non-conference road contests were also announced as UNT faces FIU (Sept. 9) at 5:30 pm CT in Miami and LA Tech (Sept. 16) at 6 pm CT in Ruston. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Most of the remaining start times and television designations for the 2023 season will be made on a weekly basis through the season as part of the conference's 12-day selection process.
The final week of the 2023 regular season will feature two Black Friday games - one at 11 am CT on ESPN and one at 2:30 pm CT on ABC. Two of four games currently slotted for Saturday, Nov. 25 - including potentially UAB at North Texas, will move to those Black Friday windows in a selection that will be made by Oct. 9.

Season tickets can be purchased anytime online or by phone at (940) 565-2527 during normal business hours and are available for as low as $80 per ticket.
