Pleasant Named Strength Coach For Tennis, Swim & Dive

DENTON - UNT has added Tavion Pleasant as a full-time strength and conditioning coach for the tennis and swimming and diving programs after several years of working with the programs in an intern role.
Pleasant is a UNT alum with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (2020), a Master's of Science in Kinesiology (2023) and a Master's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (2023) - all from UNT.
He has worked with UNT strength and conditioning since 2018, when he was an intern, and in 2021 he became a graduate assistant and worked with swimming and diving, tennis and football while also assisting with other sports in the weight room. In that graduate assistant role, he was the head strength and conditioning coach for both swimming and diving and tennis.
Pleasant was born and raised in Chicago before arriving in Denton.
