
Volleyball Loses Five-Set Match at Texas State

SAN MARCOS, Texas – UNT volleyball dropped a tough 3-2 loss at Texas State on Thursday at Strahan Arena.
North Texas (3-2) won the first two sets of the match (27-25, 25-16, 17-25, 13-25, 13-15) but failed to close out the Bobcats (3-1) on the road.
Aleeyah Galdeira posted a season-high mark of 31 digs and added four assists and an ace. The senior libero finished Thursday's match with 1,425 career digs, two shy of moving into third in program history.
Ceci Harness tallied a double-double, her second of the season, with 30 assists and 10 digs.
Coco Gillett scored a team-high 18.5 points with 13 kills on 43 attacks, eight digs, four aces, three assists and three blocks.
Treyaunna Rush led the Mean Green in kills for the fourth consecutive match as she contributed 17 with five digs and one block.
Jayde Harris struck for a season-high mark of 11 kills, including four during a 12-4 scoring spell in the opening frame.
Truli Levy registered a .500 hitting percentage with nine kills on 14 attacks and added two blocks.
Sh'Diamond Holly led UNT for the second consecutive match with four blocks and tallied seven kills.
