
Volleyball Welcomes Tulsa for Conference Contests

DENTON, Texas – UNT volleyball hosts Tulsa at 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday for a pair of American Athletic Conference matches at the North Texas Volleyball Center. Both contests will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Mean Green (9-7, 3-0) captured its third consecutive conference win at Tulane on Sunday and matched its best start to league play since the rally-scoring era began in 2001. North Texas enters on a five-match winning streak, the longest of head coach Kristee Porter's UNT career.
Sh'Diamond Holly leads The American with a .464 hitting percentage on 109 kills and 194 attacks. She is on pace to break the single-season program of .436 and the conference record of .451.
In the two road wins at Tulane, Aryn Johnson led with 21 kills and Ceci Harness distributed 45 assists. Defensively, libero Aleeyah Galdeira posted 35 digs and middle blocker Truli Levy recorded 8 blocks over seven sets.
UNT holds a 4-2 mark against Tulsa since 2015 but trails the all-time series 9-16. North Texas claimed a 3-1 victory in its last home match versus Tulsa on Aug. 31, 2019. The Mean Green have never lost at the North Texas Volleyball Center to the Golden Hurricane.
