
Volleyball Drops Five-Set Scrap

DENTON, Texas – UNT volleyball fell to Tulsa 3-2 at the North Texas Volleyball Center on Friday.
North Texas (9-9, 3-2) fought Tulsa (10-6, 3-2) in a tight five-set effort (25-22, 16-25, 25-20, 7-25, 11-15) with 11 lead changes and 24 tie scores in the match.
Anyse Smith tallied a team-high 14 points with 12 kills and four blocks while Treyaunna Rush matched the points output with 14 kills.
Truli Levy set a new career high with seven blocks and dropped three kills. For the season, she leads the team with 59 total blocks including nine solo stops.
Aryn Johnson recorded her second double-double of the season with 10 kills and 11 digs on the night. She added two blocks and one service ace. Johnson has collected double-digit digs in her past three matches.
Ceci Harness posted 25 assists and 11 digs for her sixth double-double of the year. She also registered her first kill of the season and an ace. In conference play, Harness is averaging 6.26 assists per set.
