DENTON, Texas – UNT returns home to face Texas Tech on Monday at 6 p.m. at the North Texas Volleyball Center. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
North Texas dropped a pair of matches at the Texas State Invitational on Thursday and Friday. The team lost a five-set thriller to the Bobcats on Thursday before it fell in four frames to No. 13 Houston on Friday.
Treyaunna Rush and Coco Gillett were named to the all-tournament team on Saturday. Rush led the Mean Green with 29 kills and added seven digs and four blocks. Gillett collected 26 kills with 13 digs, four assists, four aces and four blocks to lead the team with 32.0 points.
The Mean Green are 3-21 all-time against the Red Raiders but swept its last match 3-0 at home on March 17, 2021. The programs met for a preseason exhibition last year in Lubbock in which North Texas lost in three sets.
