DENTON, Texas – UNT volleyball and head coach Kristee Porter hired Adam Campbell as an assistant coach on Friday.
"We are excited to welcome Adam to our staff," Porter said. "I believe his knowledge and experience will help our program take the next step."
Campbell previously served as technical coordinator at Marquette after he was promoted from volunteer assistant coach in the summer of 2023. Over two seasons, he helped lead the Golden Eagles to a cumulative 50-15 record with consecutive Big East regular season titles and back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, reaching the regional semifinals in 2022.
"I am very excited for the opportunity with North Texas Volleyball," Campbell said. "I am grateful to assist Coach Porter as UNT continues its pursuit of competing at the highest level, both on and off the court."
Prior to his two-year stint at Marquette, he was the assistant program director and summer camp director for Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club. He also served as the technical director for setting and coached with Platform Elite Volleyball Club in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Campbell was a graduate assistant at St. Ambrose for two seasons. With the Bees, he coached five all-conference performers and one NAIA All-American selection.
Campbell graduated from St. Ambrose with a bachelor's degree in English education in 2020 and completed his master's in organizational leadership in 2022. He played setter and defensive specialist for the men's varsity volleyball team and was named a team captain.
