Volleyball to Host Tulsa, Memphis

DENTON, Texas – The Mean Green welcome a pair of American Athletic Conference foes to the UNT Volleyball Center with Tulsa on Friday at 6 p.m. before Memphis visits on Sunday at 11 a.m. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
UNT (7-10, 4-2) enters the weekend tied for third place in The American with Tulsa (12-6, 4-2) and Wichita State while Memphis (9-9, 3-3) lurks in a three-way tie for sixth.
The Mean Green are tied at 6-6 in home matches versus the Golden Hurricane but trail the series 9-18, including two home losses last season. The first match on Sept. 28, 2023, was a 3-1 loss (25-22, 23-25, 19-25, 21-25) for the Mean Green before a tight five-set defeat (25-22, 16-25, 25-20, 7-25, 11-15) on Sept. 29, 2023.
On Sunday, UNT will celebrate Senior Day versus Memphis and honor five players in a post-match ceremony that will include Addison Corley (Frisco, Texas), Coco Gillett (Bryan, Texas), Aryn Johnson (Rosharon, Texas), Priscilla Jones (Austin, Texas) and Truli Levy (Gonzales, La.).
Against the Tigers, the Mean Green trail the all-time series 0-4 including a three-set home loss on Nov. 22, 2023.
