
Volleyball Meets Charlotte, ECU in AAC Clashes

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNT travels to North Carolina for a pair of American Athletic Conference matches, first at Charlotte on Friday at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+ from Haltom Arena. The Mean Green will meet East Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+ inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum in Greenville, N.C.
The Mean Green own a six-match winning streak against the 49ers including three-set sweeps in each of the past two seasons, both under head coach Kristee Porter. UNT holds an 8-2 advantage in the all-time series and have not lost to Charlotte since Oct. 25, 2015.
Last season, the Mean Green defeated the 49ers 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-15) after outside hitter Aryn Johnson collected 12.5 points including nine kills, three aces and one block. Setter Kamryn Scroggins led the match with 19 assists and added eight digs, one kill and one ace.
UNT are level at 1-1 in the all-time series against East Carolina after it fell 3-1 (21-25, 25-16, 24-26, 22-25) in a road match on Oct. 8, 2023. Middle blocker Truli Levy posted her career high of nine total blocks against the Pirates in the matchup. Her block total is tied for the 10th most in single-match program history during the rally-scoring era.
