Women's Golf Begins Play at Medinah

MEDINAH, Ill. - The UNT women's golf team opened up play on Monday at the Illini Invitational at Medinah Country Club's famed No. 2 course, which has played host to multiple U.S. Opens, PGA Championships and a Ryder Cup.
The Mean Green played 36 holes on Monday and shot a 297-293, as they sit in 14th place heading into Tuesday's final round of play.
UNT was led by junior Mason Lewis, who is in a tie for 17th place after her 71-70.
The Mean Green will be paired with Pepperdine and Northern Illinois for Tuesday's final round, which will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
