DENTON, Texas – The UNT women's basketball team hosts Tennessee State Wednesday at 11 a.m. CT on the program's Education Day.
The Mean Green (5-2) will welcome over 1,200 students from the DFW area to The Super Pit for Wednesday's contest.
North Texas enters the game looking to get back into the win column to kick off their final stretch of nonconference play, which includes four of the five remaining games being played in Denton. The Mean Green lost their last time out in a 75-58 defeat at New Mexico, which snapped a three-game win streak. Chania Price led the team with a career-high 10 points, while also posting new bests in steals and assists.
Tennessee State comes in at 4-4 on the season, led by former WNBA All-Star Candice Dupree. The Tigers won an overtime thriller over UNC Asheville their last time out, but have struggled away from their home arena as all four losses have come in road games thus far.
Wednesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Doug Anderson and Brian Burton. The game can also be heard on the Varsity Network App with Zac Babb on the call.
