
Men's Basketball Travels To SMU Sunday

Sunday's game is scheduled to tip-off at 1 p.m. CT from Moody Coliseum and will be broadcast on ESPNU and the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield. It will mark the first time since Nov. 29, 2002 North Texas has played at SMU. The Mean Green are aiming for their first win in Dallas since Jan. 20, 1976.
North Texas (13-9, 6-4) is coming off a 68-55 win at Tulsa on Wednesday. UNT led for nearly 38 minutes in the road victory. Junior wing Aaron Scott led the Mean Green with 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
With the win, senior Rubin Jones became North Texas' all-time winningest player.
SMU (16-7, 7-3) enters Sunday riding a three-game winning streak and most recently a 95-69 road victory at Rice on Wednesday. Prior to North Texas' two-point win over the Mustangs on Jan. 25, the Mustangs were also on a three-game winning streak.
After Sunday's game at SMU, the Mean Green return home on Thursday to host Memphis at the Super Pit. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield. In the most recent AP Top 25 poll, Memphis received five top 25 votes.
It'll be the first time since the 2007 NCAA Tournament North Texas has faced Memphis and the first time they've hosted the Tigers since 1983.
