UNT Women In Third After Round 1 in The Bahamas

NEW PROVIDENCE, The Bahamas - The UNT women's golf team opened up play at the Nexus Collegiate on Monday at Albany Golf Club and enter Tuesday's second round in third place in a field loaded with ranked teams.
The Mean Green shot a 3-over 291 and are one shot back of host Texas Tech for second place and six shots back Round 1 leader Kentucky after three golfers carded top-10 showings on the first day.
Senior Emilie Ricaud led the way with a 1-under 71 and is tied for fifth heading into Round 2, while seniors Shreya Pal and Ellie Roth are tied for 10th at even-par after shooting 72s.
All 11 teams in the field are ranked inside the SCOREBOARD Top 100, and nine of the 11 teams are inside the top-60, including No. 46 UNT.
The tournament will resume on Tuesday morning with tee times beginning at 6:45 a.m., with UNT going off in the first group from Hole 1.
