DENTON - The UNT swimming and diving team will begin competition at the American Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday with the meet scheduled through Sunday in Dallas at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium.
The Mean Green will compete against East Carolina, SMU, Tulane, FAU, FIU and Rice, as the teams will battle to crown a new champion in The American after the departure this year of seven-time defending champion Houston.
"The team is excited to get to Dallas for the AAC Championships this week," UNT head coach Brittany Roth said. "The student-athletes have been focused on their preparation, and I'm really looking forward to watching our team compete. This group is determined and they are ready."
