Men's Basketball Hosts East Carolina Sunday

Sunday's game is scheduled to tip-off at 2 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield.
North Texas (15-12, 8-7) defeated ECU (14-14, 7-8) 60-59 back on Jan. 17 in Greenville, North Carolina. The Mean Green won the game on a full court in-bound pass from Aaron Scott to Robert Allen who laid in the game winner with 1.4 seconds remaining. UNT in that game made what is still its largest comeback in a win this season.
The Mean Green enter Sunday's game coming off an 80-76 road win at Tulane on Wednesday. North Texas' Aaron Scott and Rubin Jones combined for 35 points, 12 assists and four steals in the win over the Green Wave. UNT outscored Tulane 64-46 when the two were on the floor together.
With a win on Sunday over the Pirates, North Texas can secure a top seven seeding in the American Athletic Conference standings and a first-round bye in the 2024 American Championship Tournament, which begins March 13 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.

After Sunday's game versus East Carolina, the Mean Green have just two remaining regular season games and one final home game. North Texas will host (RV) Florida Atlantic on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT at the Super Pit. The Owls reached the 2023 NCAA Tournament Final Four last season. UNT then travels to Rice on March 9 for its final game before the conference tournament.
