Tennis Wins Season Finale Over Temple

TULSA, Okla. – The UNT tennis team claimed victory in its regular season finale on Saturday afternoon with a 4-3 win over Temple at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
With the win, the Mean Green improve to 11-12 overall, as they prepare for next week's American Athletic Conference Championship, which will be played at SMU on April 17-21.
UNT dropped the doubles point to start the day before rallying in singles play to win four of the six matches.
The Mean Green notched singles victory at line two, line three, line four and line five, and Lilly Schultz took her opponent to a third set in line six before eventually falling.
At line two, Stadfany Nformi pulled off a 6-3, 6-2 victory, while Stanislava Shulzhenko earned a 7-5, 6-0 win at line three. Lou Chalard picked up her 10th singles victory of the season with a come-from-behind 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 7-5 win at line four, and Carolina Laydner picked up a 6-0, 6-3 victory at line five to wrap up the Mean Green's wins.
