Soccer Travels To Commerce For First Road Match

DENTON — The UNT soccer team plays at Texas A&M Commerce Friday for its first road match of the 2024 season. First kick is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Mean Green (2-2) head into Friday night's match riding a two-game winning streak in which they outscored their opponents by a combined score of 11-0 and didn't allow a single shot on goal.
This will be just the second all-time meeting between North Texas and the Lions (1-2). UNT beat Commerce 3-1 last season in Denton.
On Monday, senior Rachel Roebuck was named the American Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week after she scored five goals including four against Prairie View in her team's 9-0 win.
Roebuck enters Friday's match tied for the national lead in goals scored.
After Friday's match, the Mean Green return home to host Southern on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT. It will be just the second all-time meeting between the two teams. The Mean Green beat Southern 7-0 in Denton in 2021. The Jaguars (0-4) are at UTRGV on Thursday.
Sunday's match will be streamed on ESPN+.
