Soccer Draws 2-2 At Texas A&M Commerce

COMMERCE, Texas — The UNT soccer team drew 2-2 Friday night at Texas A&M Commerce in what was its first road match of the year.
The Mean Green (2-2-1) outshot the Lions (1-2-1) 27-11, had 13 corners to Commerce's zero and had a number of strong opportunities but couldn't bury enough goals to come away with the victory.
North Texas got on the scoreboard first in the 60th minute when sophomore Alexis Miller scored her first goal of the season and the second of her career.
UNT though would concede two goals less than 10 minutes later in the 66th and then the go-ahead goal in the 67th minute to give Commerce the lead. They came after holding the Lions to just four shots on goal over the first 60 minutes of the match.
Mean Green senior Rachel Roebuck leveled the score in the 84th minute with her sixth goal of the season. Roebuck entered Friday tied for the national lead in goals scored. She has now scored in three straight matches.
Roebuck also assisted on the Miller 60th minute goal.
UNT has a quick turnaround as they host Southern on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+
