Volleyball Travels to Texas Southern

HOUSTON – UNT volleyball embarks on a nine-match road trip beginning on Wednesday night at Texas Southern. The match is scheduled for first serve at 6 p.m. from H&PE Arena.
The Mean Green suffered three hard-fought losses to open the 2024 season at the UNT Invitational which was held at The Super Pit in Denton, Texas.
Junior Payton Van Veen was named to the all-tournament team on Sunday after she led the team with a .397 hitting percentage on 27 kills and 58 attacks over her first 11 sets with the Mean Green.
Texas Southern dropped a pair of neutral site matches to Texas State and Houston Christian at the Rice Invitational on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
The Mean Green hold an undefeated 5-0 record against the Tigers including a pair of home sweeps in each of the past two seasons. UNT will make its first-ever visit to Texas Southern on Wednesday.
