Morris Earns Second AAC Offensive Player of the Week Honor

Junior quarterback earns honor for second time this season
DALLAS - Coming off yet another stellar performance in a 52-20 win over Tulsa, UNT junior quarterback Chandler Morris was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced Monday.
Morris completed 22 of 34 passes for 439 yards and five touchdowns to lead a North Texas offense that produced 52 points and 618 yards in a 52-20 win against Tulsa, lifting the Mean Green to 4-1 on the season.
Morris' 439 yards and five touchdown passes are the most by an American Athletic Conference player in a game this season, while the yardage total is fifth among all FBS players. Morris also ranks second nationally with 16 touchdown passes in 2024.
Through five games this season, Morris leads the AAC in total offense per game (337.8), total passing yards (1,643), passing yards per game (328.6), passing touchdowns (16) points responsible for (108), 300-yard games (4) and 400 yards games (2).
He is the first player in program history to earn AAC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice in the same season.
In addition, Morris was one of eight FBS QBs to be named a Manning Award Star of the Week. Fans can vote here for Morris to win the national award.
