Volleyball Set for Maryland Tournament

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – UNT volleyball extends its road trip at the Maryland Tournament with matches versus Georgetown on Friday at 3 p.m. CT, Hampton on Saturday at 10 a.m. CT and Maryland on Sunday at noon CT. Friday and Sunday's matches will be streamed on B1G+.
The Mean Green (1-3) recorded its first win of the season on Wednesday at Texas Southern with a four-set victory over the Tigers. Junior Payton Van Veen led UNT 19.5 points with season-high marks of 15 kills and four aces.
Georgetown (1-2) collected its lone win over UC Riverside on Saturday while Hampton (0-3) have yet to win a set this season. The hosting Terrapins (1-2) tallied a season-opening win over Troy on Friday at the LSU Tournament.
UNT has never faced any of its three weekend opponents over the course of its program history.
