UNT Takes on Big 12 Opponent Houston on Friday
Houston, Texas — The UNT women's tennis team looks to continue their momentum as they head south to face Houston at the Barbara Winston Wallace Tennis Facility with first serve slated for 10 a.m. Friday.
North Texas (3-1) is coming off a weekend in Ames, Iowa which saw the team split their two matchups. A Friday 5-2 defeat to Iowa State led to a 6-1 victory over Omaha which saw the Mean Green sweep singles play.
The Mean Green are 19-5 overall in singles this season, led by Stanislava Shulzhenko and Lou Chalard, who both hold a 4-0 record in singles matches.
Stadfany Nformi and Lilly Schultz lead the way in doubles play for UNT posting a 2-1 mark at line two.
Houston (1-0) comes into the match after sweeping its season debut 4-0 against UT Arlington Jan. 25.
The Cougars are coming off a 2-19 season in their debut Big 12 Conference season.
