Following Wednesday's game North Texas will close out this five-day road trip with a game at Saint Mary's on Friday.
Recapping Sunday's Win
North Texas improved to 3-0 on the year with a 64-62 win over Loyola Chicago on Wednesday. Senior Dylan Arnett made a buzzer beating midrange jumper to lift the Mean Green to what is just its sixth 3-0 start in the last 30 years.
The Matchup
UNT (3-0) faces a Beaver (2-0) squad that has opened the year with back-to-back one possession home wins, over North Dakota State and Illinois Chicago. OSU has not played since Friday when they beat UIC 76-73. UNT defeated the Oregon State last year at the Super Pit 58-55. Then Mean Green senior Atin Wright made a go-ahead 3-pointer in the game's final seconds.
Aiming For A 4-0 Start
A win Wednesday over Oregon State would give North Texas its first 4-0 start in seven years. They opened the 2018-19 season with an 8-0 record. Over the last 40 years UNT has only started a season 4-0 twice (1990-91 and 2018-19).
44 Points Through Three Games

Program Record
In UNT's 64-62 win over Loyola Chicago on Sunday the Mean Green tied the program record for most single game blocks with 11. Reece Robinson and Dylan Arnett each had three blocks in the two-point win. Senior Demarion Watson had two blocks in the win.
Career High 23 Points
North Texas sophomore guard Je'Shawn Steven matched his single game career high with 23 points in UNT's 64-62 win over Loyola Chicago on Sunday. Stevenson's 23 points scored in the win are the most by a Mean Green player so far this season and the sophomore's third 20-point game his career. Stevenson has scored UNT's most and second most single game points so far this year. He had 18 points in the season opener on Nov. 3.
