Divers Set For Strong Field at UT Diving Invite

DENTON - The UNT diving team will take on a strong field of competition and get its first taste of the Platform this week, when the Mean Green travel to Austin for the UT Diving Invite.
The Mean Green will several of the country's top programs, including the likes of Texas, Texas A&M and Stanford, among others, beginning on Thursday with the 3-meter springboard. The 1-meter springboard event will be held on Friday and the Platform will close out the meet on Saturday morning.
"UT is always a great opportunity to compete against top-tier teams and gain valuable experience as we prepare for conference championships and NCAA Zones," associate head coach and diving coach Stephanie O'Callaghan said. "This meet also gives us our first (Platform) opportunity of the season — an event the team really enjoys. They've worked hard all fall, and now it's about relaxing, trusting their training, and showing the progress they've made."
