The Mean Green host Tulane on Friday, Rice for Senior Day on Sunday
DENTON – Mean Green volleyball finishes regular season American Conference play with a two-match home weekend at the UNT Volleyball Center as it meets Tulane on Friday at 6 p.m. before a rematch with conference champions Rice on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+ while fans can purchase tickets HERE.
UNT (20-7, 10-4) enters the final weekend ranked third in the American Conference as it owns the head-to-head tiebreaker over Tulsa. Tulane (11-14, 3-11) has been mathematically eliminated from conference tournament contention while Rice (17-8, 13-1) won the American Conference title and holds a 13-match winning streak.
"Tulane's going to be tough right out of the gate because they're going to this weekend trying to play spoiler," head coach Dave Fleming said. "With Rice, they won the conference championship, but I think our team is looking forward to having another shot at them [because] … I don't think anybody in our locker room felt like we played well that night and we all feel like we can play better."
