DENTON — The UNT men's basketball team hosts Houston Christian Tuesday night at the Super Pit, aiming for its fourth straight win and 12th straight home win.

The Mean Green (6-2) and Huskies (4-3) are scheduled to tip-off at 7 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield on KHYI 95.3 FM and on ESPN+.

Tuesday will be the 10th all-time meeting between North Texas and HCU. The Mean Green have won eight of the previous nine matchups, including the last five in a row.

A Win Would…
-Improve North Texas' record to 7-2 and 6-0 at home this year. UNT has started 7-2 in two of the previous three seasons.
-Be the Mean Green's fourth straight win overall, which would be its longest win streak under first-year head coach Daniyal Robinson and its longest single season non-conference win streak since 2022.
-Be head coach Daniyal Robinson's 72nd all-time victory
-Be the earliest in the calendar year North Texas won its seventh game of a season since the 2018-19 season when UNT won its seventh game on Nov. 20^th.
-Be the Mean Green's 12^th straight home win, marking its longest home winning streak since winning 17 in a row between 2023 and 2024
-Be UNT's sixth straight win over Houston Christian
-Be North Texas' 23rd home win since the start of last year

American Conference Player of the Week
Je'Shawn Stevenson was named on Monday the American Conference Player of the Week after he averaged 24.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game and led UNT to two wins. It's his first ever overall conference player of the week honor.

500 Career Rebounds
UNT senior forward Dylan Arnett grabbed his 500th career rebound on Sunday versus Prairie View. He is one of four players in the American with 500+ career rebounds.

Career High In Steals
Senior Demarion Watson recorded four steals in Sunday's win over Prairie View. It was a single game career high for the Minnesota native. It was also the most single game steals a UNT player has had since Rubin Jones had six vs Towson on Nov. 19, 2023. With the four steals, Watson now has a single season career high 12. He previously had never had more than 10 in a year.

Dishing It Out
North Texas junior guard David Terrell Jr. had a career-high 9 assists on Sunday versus Prairie View. It was the most single game assists by a UNT player since 2021.

Mr. November
North Texas newcomer Je'Shawn Stevenson scored 136 total points in the month of November. It's the most points a UNT player has scored in the season's opening month since Roosevelt Smart scored 140 in November of 2017. That season, Smart went on to break the single season program record for scoring with 742 points (19.5/game). Since 2000, the only Mean Green newcomers to score more points in their first eight games of their UNT career than Stevenson's 136 was Smart's 140 in 2017 and Josh White's 149 in 2007.
