Nestor Named American Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

The senior posted the third 30-point, 30-rebound game in Division I since 1981
IRVING, Texas – UNT senior forward Megan Nestor was tabbed the American Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday following one of the greatest games in Division I history.
Nestor posted 34 points and 31 rebounds in the Mean Green's win over Texas Southern, becoming just the third Division I player since 1981 to post 30+ points and 30+ rebounds in a game. Her 31 rebounds set the single-game rebound record for the program and the conference and is the most in a Division I game since 2016.
Including North Texas' game with Oklahoma State on Wednesday, Nestor averaged 20 points, 19 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game on the week.
It marks the first conference honor for Nestor, who was named to the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award Preseason Watch List earlier this year.
