2/11/2025 3:08:00 PM | Women's Basketball
DENTON, Texas — The UNT women's basketball team will host Memphis Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. CT inside The Super Pit.
The Mean Green defeated the Tigers earlier this season in Memphis when Ereauna Hardaway hit a game-winning layup for a 73-71 win. The late-game heroics was just the cap to a career game for Hardaway, who finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Tommisha Lampkin and Aniyah Johnson were key compliments to their point guard's play as both forwards posted double doubles in the game.
North Texas enters Wednesday's game at 17-7 overall and 9-3 in American Athletic Conference play following a 69-64 victory over Tulane on Sunday. UNT is 12-1 at home this season looking to make program history against Memphis as a victory would mark the most home wins in a single season for the program.
Memphis (6-16, 4-7 AAC) comes to Denton having won two of their last three games. The Tigers took down Florida Atlantic, 73-60, on Saturday. Memphis boasts the conference's second-best offense averaging 69.7 points per game, led by Tilly Boller who ranks third in the conference with 17.2 points per game. Boller had 19 points against UNT on Jan. 4, while Alasia Smith and Deedee Hagemann added 16 points each.
Wednesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Kyle Youmans and Brian Burton on the call. It can also be heard on the Varisty Network App with Zac Babb.
