Lampkin Named AAC Player of the Week

DENTON, Texas - UNT's Tommisha Lampkin earned her second American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor of the season, the conference announced Monday.
Lampkin was dominant on the week, averaging 25.5 points and 15 rebounds per game while leading North Texas to wins over Memphis and Tulsa.
During a 22-point, 15-rebound performance against Tulane, Lampkin surpassed 1,400 career points and moved past Amber Jackson into sixth place on the program's all-time scoring list. She had an even more impressive outing against Tulsa, matching a career high with 29 points and grabbing another 15 rebounds. The senior forward now has 13 double doubles of the season and 30 in her career.
This is Lampkin's second career AAC Player of the Week award after earning the honor on Nov. 11, following the first week of the season. She has been a frequent member of the weekly awards, being named an honorable mention six times this season.
