Tennis Looking to Carry Momentum to Miami

North Texas faces North Florida Saturday and FIU Sunday in Miami
DENTON — The UNT women's tennis team travels to Florida this weekend to play two matches at PayCargo Tennis Center in Miami.
North Texas (5-3) starts the weekend Saturday versus North Florida (2-3) at 9 a.m. CT in a neutral-site match before facing hosts, FIU (2-2), Sunday at noon CT.
The Mean Green have won consecutive matches heading into the weekend, the latest coming on a 4-0 sweep of Oral Roberts on Feb. 14.
Lou Chalard is coming off a career-best performance as she improved her singles record to 7-1 against ORU with the first 6-0, 6-0 sweep of her career. Chalard also picked up a win in doubles play with Gianna Pielet to clinch the point for UNT.
UNF defeated American Athletic Conference member South Florida in its last matchup. The Ospreys posted a winning 12-10 record last season before being eliminated in the first round of the ASUN tournament.
The Panthers lost to No. 20 UCF prior to this weekend but has picked up a ranked win over Miami this season. FIU was ranked No. 25 until Jan. 29.
