Lampkin Earns Back-to-Back AAC Player of the Week Honors

DENTON, Texas — Tommisha Lampkin was named the American Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second straight week on Monday.
The senior forward posted 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead North Texas to a 75-73 win over East Carolina in a double overtime thriller in the Mean Green's only contest of the week. The double double was her 14th of the season and 31st of her career. She is the only player in the country to post at least 20 points and 15 rebounds in three straight games at any point this season, which she has done in each of UNT's last three games.
Lampkin also became the program's record holder in games played making her 134th career appearance for UNT on Saturday.
This is Lampkin's third career AAC Player of the Week award after earning the honor on Nov. 11 and Feb. 17. She has been a frequent member of the weekly awards, being named an honorable mention six times this season.
