Women's Golf Move Up Heading to Final Round

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - The UNT women's golf team moved up the leaderboard in Monday's second round at the Puerto Rico Classic at Grand Reserve Golf Club after shooting a 2-over 290 and will head into Tuesday's final round in a tie for 10th with No. 32 Iowa State and two shots up on 33rd-ranked Purdue, all while sitting within striking distance of several other ranked teams.
The Mean Green were led once again by sophomore Bouquet Subsomboon, who shot a 2-under 70 to head into Tuesday's final round in a tie for 11th at 2-under for the tournament. UNT also got solid rounds on Monday from Malisone Chanthapanya, who shot an even-par 72 and Shreya Pal, who rebounded nicely after a tough opening round to shoot a 1-over 73.
The Mean Green will go into play on Tuesday two shots back of No. 37 Georgia Southern and six back of No. 22 Michigan State and No. 30 Kansas State.Â
