Women’s Hoops Hosts First Nationally Televised Game Versus Tulane
2/8/2025 11:28:00 AM | Women's Basketball
DENTON, Texas — Sunday's UNT women's basketball game versus Tulane will mark the first time the program has been featured in a linear broadcast as the game is set to air on ESPNU.
The teams will meet in The Super Pit for their second matchup of the season, after Tulane defeated North Texas, 65-62, in New Orleans on Jan. 8. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. CT.
Jaaucklyn Moore had 23 points and nine rebounds in the first meeting, nearly leading North Texas to a come-from-behind win. The Mean Green outscored Tulane, 40-25, in the second half but it wasn't enough to overcome the 18-point halftime deficit.
Sunday's game will be an important one in the conference standings as the teams are tied for third at 8-3 place, sitting two games back of UTSA in the top spot. UNT enters looking to snap a two-game skid, while the Green Wave are riding a four-game win streak into Denton.
North Texas is 11-1 at home this season, with its lone loss coming to SMU on Dec. 19. A win on Sunday would tie the program record for home wins in a single season.
Sunday's game will be televised on ESPNU with Angel Gray and Brooke Weisbrod on the call. It can also be heard with Zac Babb on the Varsity Network App.
