Tennis Falls 4-2 to CSUN

North Texas ended its road trip in Northridge, Calif. Tuesday.
DENTON — The UNT women's tennis team lost 4-2 to CSUN in a match which started late and was abbreviated due to rain in the Northridge, Calif. Area.
The match was rescheduled from 4 PM CT to 11 AM CT before moving to 2 PM.
Doubles play was forgone due to a weather delay which meant only singles contests were played.
The Mean Green (6-8) went down 2-0 after losses at lines one and two before getting a point back via a Marina Adati 6-3, 6-3 win at line six.
Adati's win was her first singles win since Feb. 9 at Northwestern State and advanced her to 2-1 on the season.
UNT then tied the match with a Carolina Laydner 6-3, 6-2 win at line four for her third consecutive win in singles play.
The Matadors (6-6) took back the lead with a 1-6, 6-7 (5) at line before closing the match with a tight 6-2, 4-6, 4-6 win at line three.
North Texas returns home to face Tulsa Wednesday, March 19 at 4 p.m. at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
