Tennis Returns Home for Trio of Matches

North Texas faces off against Tulsa, UAB and Tulane in a three-match homestand.
DENTON — The UNT women's tennis team plays three matches at home from Wednesday to Sunday after a two-match roadtrip.
The Mean Green (6-8) enter Wednesday's 4 p.m. match with No. 51 Tulsa (12-4) after losing thier last two matches.
The Golden Hurricane come into Wednesday ranked at 51 in the ITA national rankings and winning their last four of five matches.
North Texas then hosts UAB (11-5) Friday at 2:30 p.m. as the Blazers come in with a two-match winning streak.
A match with Tulane (8-6) Sunday at 10 a.m. rounds out the week for UNT. The Green Wave have won two of their last three matches and defeated No. 66 Princeton 4-2 March 13.
Carolina Laydner has won three consecutive single matches coming at lines five, four and six, respectively. With the winning streak, Laydner has elevated to a tie for third on the team in singles wins with a 6-3 record.
