Men's Basketball Travels To OSU For NIT Quarters

STILLWATER, Oklahoma — The UNT men's basketball team travels to Oklahoma State Tuesday night to face the Cowboys in the National Invitation Tournament Quarterfinals, a rematch from their 2023 quarterfinal bout.
The Mean Green (26-8) and Cowboys (17-17) are scheduled to tip-off from Gallagher-Iba Arena at 8 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on the Mean Green Sports Network, presented by Learfield and on ESPN2.
North Texas is coming off a dramatic 65-63 second round win over Arkansas State Sunday night where Mean Green point guard Jasper Floyd sank a turnaround jumper with one second remaining to win the game for UNT. Floyd and Latrell Jossell each finished with a game-high 18 points.
Tuesday's matchup in Stillwater, Oklahoma, is a rematch of the 2023 NIT when North Texas beat the Cowboys, 65-59 in overtime, in what was also the quarterfinal round. The Mean Green went on to win the 2023 NIT championship. The two teams have not played since.
The winner of Tuesday's game advances to the NIT semifinals at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The semifinal round games will be played on April 1.
