Mean Green Wrap Up 44 Farms Team Invitational

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — UNT track and field wrapped up competition at the 44 Farms Team Invitational in College Station, Texas, on Saturday night.
The Mean Green saw several athletes earn top-10 placements in a competitive field consisting of over 15 teams from the power four conferences.
Jake Parchman began the meet with a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw on Friday afternoon, extending his streak of top-five finishes to 15 straight meets. The reigning American Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week topped his mark from the Bill Schmidt Invite with a throw of 64.90 meters.
Chase Lehr also placed recorded a fourth-place finish, posting a near personal best time of 1:48.94 in a close 800 meters race. Meanwhile, in the women's 800 meters London Culbreath earned UNT's highest placement of the meet taking third, while Trinity Trotter set a personal best in a sixth-place finish.
Culbreath capped off an excellent weekend on Saturday taking fourth place in the invite section of 1,500 meters.
North Texas had three athletes break into the top-five performers in program history for the first time during the two-day meet. Clarence McGill became the fifth-best performer in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a 51.51 to take ninth in the event. Chris Johnson posted a 46.66 in the 400 meters, also collecting a top-10 finish, while Aariyana Williams' time of 53.58 is the fourth-fastest time in program history for the ladies.
UNT ended the meet placing seventh in the men's 4x400-meter relay with a season-best time of 3:08.50.
The Mean Green will continue their outdoor season April 18-19 at the Michael Johnson Invitational in Waco.
