The Mean Green carry a three-match win streak into Kansas.
DENTON — The UNT women's tennis team is set to take on Wichita State 12 p.m. at the Wichita Country Club Friday.
Previously set to be held at the Shockers' home facility, the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex, inclement weather forced a move to an indoor facility. The Mean Green's match with Creighton scheduled for Saturday was canceled due to the expected weather.
North Texas (9-9) is in the midst of a three-match win streak and has evened its record back to .500 ahead of Friday.
Carolina Laydner, who picked up the deciding point in the Mean Green's last match, has now extended her winning streak in matches that finished to three.
Stadfany Nformi and Stanislava Shulzhenko have won at lines two and three, respectively, in singles play in every match of UNT's three-match streak. As a pair in doubles, Shulzhenko and Nformi have also won two of their last three.
Wichita State (11-6) enters Friday having won its last five matches. The Shockers are led by Xin Tong Wang, who is 17-6 in singles play on the season and ranked No. 94 in the country in women's singles.
