Tennis Falls Against No. 49 Wichita State

The Mean Green lost 4-0 in their penultimate regular season match.
DENTON — The UNT women's tennis team lost 4-0 to Wichita State Friday afternoon in a match that was relocated to Wichita Country Club due to weather.
The loss snapped a three-match winning streak for the Mean Green (9-10).
Stadfany Nformi and Stanislava Shulzhenko won 6-2 at line two in doubles play, their third win as a pair in UNT's last four matches.
Gianna Pielet and Marina Adati brought the line three match to advantage before ultimately falling just short of the victory with the match finishing 6-7 (8-10) in favor of the Shockers (12-6).
Wichita State took wins at line one and line three before clinching the win at line two as Nformi was unable to finish the match. The match was knotted at 1-1 and was heading into the third set.
The Mean Green close their regular season at Abilene Christian Friday, April 11 at 2:30 p.m. CT.
