The Mean Green take on Abilene Christian and Tyler Junior College.
DENTON — The UNT women's tennis team is in the home stretch of the regular season as they prepare to face Abilene Christian on the road Friday and Tyler Junior College Saturday at home.

The Mean Green (9-10) added its match with Tyler JC (6-8) within the last week after originally planning to end the regular season with their Friday match against ACU (4-11).
With the two matches scheduled, North Texas has a chance to finish the regular season with a winning record, a feat the program has not achieved since the 2018-19 season. In that campaign, the Mean Green finished 11-10 before heading into the Conference USA Championship tournament.

UNT brings momentum into the weekend, having won three of its last four matches.

Facing off against Wichita State in its last match, North Texas picked up a 6-2 doubles win from Stanislava Shulzhenko and Stadfany Nformi at line two, their second consecutive win as a pair.

The Wildcats enter Friday's contest with wins in two of their last three matches.

Saturday's match will be the fifth time the Apaches — a member of the NJCAA — will face an NCAA-sanctioned team this season.

First serve Friday is set for 2:30 p.m. CT at the Judi and Cecil Eager Tennis Pavilion in Abilene. Saturday's match will begin at 11:00 a.m. CT at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
Stats and streaming for Saturday's match will be available on MeanGreenSports.com.
