Women's Golf Stays in Fourth at NGI

MARICOPA, Ariz. - The UNT women's golf team continued play on Saturday at the National Golf Invitational and remained in fourth after two rounds at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes.
The Mean Green were led on the day by sophomore Katharina Anglett's 1-over 73, while sophomore Bouquet Subsomboon is the team's leader through two rounds at 6-over, which is good for a tie for 14th.
UNT enters Sunday's final round just five shots back of second-place Eastern Michigan but has work to do to catch leader Santa Clara, who shot up the leaderboard with a 295 on the day - the best round in the field by 10 strokes.
The Mean Green will be paired in Sunday's final round with third-place Oral Roberts and will tee off beginning at 10:30 a.m. Fifth-year senior Shreya Pal will sub in for Mallorie Luitwieler after missing the first two rounds to participate in the weekend's graduation ceremonies back in Denton. Sunday will mark her final collegiate round.
